Blowin' Down that Old Dusty Road (part 2) - Takes a ten-dollar shoe ...

Part 2 of an original variation of an old dust bowl song by Woody Guthrie also performed by me live somewhere on I 90, caught in the tail end of The Great Recession.  It really was the second great depression, but you know how those Washing fake-conservative royalists love to cover up those things.  Heck, they destroyed Greece, Ireland and Italy without firing a shot and then they hide behind their plastic made-in-China American flags calling their victims bleeding hearts.

Lyrics of my variation:

Old Dusty Road

I'm blowin down that old dusty road

-- blowin' down that old dusty road.

Blowin' down that old dusty road, Lord God,

and I ain't going to be treated this-a-way.

your 2-dollar shoe hurts my feet,

your two-dollar shoe hurts my feet.

I don't care if you charge $100 or $200 --

if you can't repair the heel, then you know that it's not for real.

That's a "two-dollar shoe".

Somebody done fooled you.

I need a "ten-dollar" shoe to fit my feet.

It takes a ten-dollar shoe to fit my feet.

You gotta have a shoe you can repair anywhere

that's going to get you walking down the street.

Yes it takes a "ten-dollar shoe to fit my feet".

Fit my feet, ain't that neet? As I'm a-walking down the street.

The old dusty road.

Come with the dust -- gone with the wind,

in case you're a-wonderin' where the heck I've been,

I'm blowin' down that old dusty road.

Yes, I'm blowin' down that old dusty road,

yes, I'm blowin' down that old dusty road.

Come with the dust -- gone with the wind,

in case you're a-wonderin' where the heck I've been,

I'm blowin' down that old dusty road.

When they say, "It's my way or the highway",

I say, "The highway IS my way.  ANALYZE THIS!"

I'm blowin' down that old dusty road.

(narative): I tell you what -- listen to me, America -- I know you won't, but I tell you:

... right out here: you got "Freedom Highway" -- you got that dusty road.  Better use it while you can.

I'm blowin down that old dusty road

-- blowin' down that old dusty road.

Blowin' down that old dusty road, Lord God,

and I ain't going to be treated this-a-way.

I'm a-lookin' for a job at honest pay.

You know.  The kind that pays you a living wage.

If they ain't paying you a living wage, they're criminals.

End of story, morning glory.

I'm blowin down that old dusty road

and I ain't going to be treated this-a-way.

Old dusty road, old dusty road.

Blowin' down that old dusty road

Come with the dust -- gone with the wind,

in case you're a-wonderin' where the heck I've been,

I'm blowin' down that old dusty road.
